Book Buddies: Read to Thearpy Dogs

    August 31, 2022

An on-going event that will occur every 4th Wednesday of the month at 4pm. All dogs utilized are certified therapy dogs, who's handler will be present.
We are excited to have our furry therapy-dog friends back for one on one story time. This is a perfect opportunity for new readers to practice their reading📚 out loud, or young experienced readers to have a book buddy.
This is a free and open to the public program where children can bring their own book, or choose one at the library. They sit with the dog and read aloud for 15 minutes, then switch to another dog.
The purpose of a reading to dogs program is to provide children with a comfortable environment to practice their reading skills.
